Tawanna Wright is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and Federal District Court for the Western District. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Ms. Wright received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
During law school, Ms. Wright earned a number of academic awards as a result of her legal scholarship. These academic achievements afforded her ability to work as a Teaching Assistant, Senior Editor of the Law Review, and as a Student Magistrate. While in law school, Ms. Wright served as a summer associate and law clerk for a mid-size Grand Rapids law firm providing legal research and discovery support on numerous litigation matters. After graduating from law school, Ms. Wright joined the firm as an Associate centering her practice on commercial litigation and transactional matters.
Ms. Wright subsequently opened her own firm with the goal of assisting clients who she feels she otherwise would not have been able to help as an Associate. Ms. Wright believes that everyone should have the ability to access quality legal representation. She appreciates and is humbled by her professional obligation as an advocate, and as such she diligently represents clients from all walks of life, irrespective of their varying levels of sophistication. She recognizes that every client doesn’t have the financial wherewithal to afford the traditional payment arrangements for most attorneys. She is willing to craft financial terms that work for each individual client when necessary.
Ms. Wright considers it a privilege and an honor to serve in the legal profession. As such, she has served, and continues to serve, on a variety of nonprofit boards of directors and committees throughout the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.
